Review:

Situated at the southern end of San Diego Bay and surrounded by adjacent densely urbanized areas, the San Diego Bay National Wildlife Refuge protects the last remnants of mudflats and marshes, providing an essential sanctuary for many endangered, migratory, and endemic bird species. You can do some amazing bird watching along the 1.5-mile Visitors’ Center trail and explore the Living Coast Discovery Center where you can learn about the marine environment and view live animals. Cyclists can enjoy excellent wildlife viewing along the Bayshore Bikeway and during winter you can join a monthly guided walking tour of the salt flats.
