Perched atop the Mayacamas Mountains straddling the Napa and Sonoma county lines, Pride Mountain Vineyards specializes in red wine production with its Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot as its two most famous varietals. Pride Mountain first began producing wine in 1869. Today, the family-owned vineyard practices sustainable production, and visitors can tour the grounds including wine caves dug deep into the mountains and the ruins of an old stone winery dating to 1890. Guests can choose from a tasting at the bar or private area. Pride Mountain also has barrel tastings available. Tasting fees are waived with the purchase of wine.
