The historic River Fox Train invites you to come and see Sacramento from a whole new perspective. The sight-seeing train journey takes you along a very scenic 10-mile section of track through the Yolo countryside. All rides originate (and terminate) at the River Fox Station on the Sacramento River. The original train was built in 1911 and was in service until 1941, when freight traffic took over use of the line until 2003, when the River Fox Train started offering scenic and themed train tours. If you are up for something a little more adventurous you can grab a friend and book one of the fun two-seater rail bikes, which can be pedaled along the train tracks.
