At the Marina del Rey Historical Society, visitors can come by and learn the history of one of Los Angeles’ youngest communities. Having been dedicated in 1965, the town is quite young by the country’s standards, and yet already carries such a deep and rich history. The Marina del Rey Historical Society was put together for this very purpose and spectacularly archives the area’s local information and history from within their gallery and home at the Fisherman’s Village. Drop by to see the archives, flip through incredible photo albums that chronicle the area’s humble beginnings, or comb through Dinghy Issues which have been collected from 1965 up until 1970.
