Since 1976 the Sun Gallery has been bringing together artists and creative souls who have been responsible for Hayward achieving a reputation as a cultural center. The gallery is on a mission to expose the entire community to the joys of visual arts and holds regular art exhibitions, hands-on workshops and lectures. In addition to showcasing the talents of many local artists, the Sun Gallery also provides them with a workspace where technology-driven arts like laser cutting, screen printing and many other art-forms can be created. By providing artists with a communal creative area, the gallery hopes to offer inspiration to many more budding artists.
