Spanning over seven miles round trip, hiking through Rockville Hills Regional Park is one of the most adventurous and wonderful ways to spend the day outdoors while in Fairfield. It’s classified as having a moderate level of difficulty, so it shouldn’t be too difficult for first timers or more experienced hikers. You can climb through the volcanic rock hills and wander through remote and grassy valleys. You’ll be able to see amazing views of a stand of blue oaks, Twin Sisters, Mount Diablo, and Elkhorn Peak, so be sure to bring your camera as well to take some amazing photographs.
