Review:
Hollywood Hotel is one of Los Angeles' quintessential overnight destinations, originally founded in 1903 by "Father of Hollywood" H.J. Whitley along the city's famed Hollywood Boulevard.
The hotel, which is known as the former residence of actor Rudolph Valentino, was reopened on Vermont Avenue in 1964, where it has played host to an extensive list of American and international actors, athletes, and celebrities.
Posh Californian architecture recreates vintage Old Hollywood splendor, from the hotel's custom-designed porte-cochère to its lushly landscaped pool and outdoor lounge. Decadent smoke-free guest rooms and suites offer decor such as private bathrooms with lighted vanities and prime amenities such as designer toiletries provided by Poggesi. Guests can dine at the hotel's continental breakfast buffet each morning or grab drinks at the inviting Route 66 Bar and Lounge, which serves up a variety of classic and modern cocktails.
