Unlike most parks, Sonoma State Historic Park is composed of six different sites scattered throughout midtown Sonoma. It's easy to visit all sites in one day; five of the six attractions are located right off the Sonoma Plaza, and the sixth site is less than a mile away. Guided tours of most sites are available to the public on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, and private group tours are available as well if reserved in advance. Educational exhibits can be found in the Sonoma Mission, the Sonoma Barracks, and the Vallejo Home, and free parking is available behind the Sonoma Barracks.
