Review:
The History Center of San Luis Obispo County County is a history museum dedicated to preserving the historical and cultural heritage of the region surrounding San Luis Obispo. The museum has a large number of artifacts and archives in its collection, but many of them are held off-site and only a small percentage are on display for the public. The regional photograph collection is especially interesting and includes prints, slides, and postcards of the region dating from the 1840s until today. The museum is located inside the city’s historic Carnegie Library building as well as the Dallidet Adobe and Gardens. The space available is for touring, and public use includes a gallery, research space, and a gift shop.
