Review:
Bishop Peak measures a bit over 1,500 feet, making it the tallest of the “Nine Sisters,” a mountain range also known as the Morros. It is a favorite hiking destination among locals and visitors alike and is one of the most popular hikes in the San Luis Obispo area. The mountain got its name due to the shape of its rocky crown, which some think resembles a bishop’s miter. The hike to the summit is a single-track trail that covers approximately 3.5 miles on a round trip and climbs approximately 950 feet from the trailhead. The views from the trail and summit are beautiful, and hiking the trail is certainly a rewarding experience.
