Review & FAQ:
Fire Control Tower No. 23 was built in 1942 and is the only surviving World War II Tower that played an important role in coastal defenses. Notice the All Veteran Memorial on the deck beside the base of the Tower, the Memorial Plaques in the Tower, and the Eternal Flame Monument. Visitors will find the climb up easy on the spiral staircase.
There are many exhibits and information about the history of the Tower, but those who can’t make it up the tower can browse through the folder available at the entrance.
