With so many different destinations all around the world and so much to see, modern travelers have more choices than ever before. The only problem is that, due to limits of money and time, it’s more or less impossible for us to visit all the places we want to see and do all the things we want to do, so we have to pick and choose our vacations destinations with care. Many people focus on just one aspect when choosing a destination; they’ll choose a Caribbean island for its beautiful beaches or a European capital for its history architecture. However, if you’re looking for a place with culture, cuisine, scenery, history, beaches, and more, Egypt could be the perfect place for you.
1.Sharm El Sheikh
Situated on the southern edge of the Sinai Peninsula, Sharm El Sheikh is one of Egypt's most famous beach resort towns. Offering views of Mount Sinai and easy access to key natural areas and recreational spots like Ras Muhammad National Park, Naama Bay, and Tiran Island, there's a long list of reasons why you might be interested in visiting this particular city. There are a few good beaches around Sharm El Sheikh and you can't really pick a bad one, but Ras Um Sid definitely stands out as one of the prettiest. Blessed with awe-inspiring views and lots of great diving and snorkeling spots, this Sharm El Sheikh beach attracts a lot of adventurers but never gets overly busy or noisy. It's also well-served by local amenities, allowing you to enjoy a full day of fun without any worries.
If you happen to be flying into Hurghada Airport for your Egypt vacation, Soma Bay is one of the most easily accessible and convenient beaches for you. It's only around 40-50 minutes away from the airport and is situated in a lovely little area with lots of good quality hotels, restaurants, resort facilities, and more. This is actually one of the fastest-growing tourist spots in all of Egypt and could become the new Sharm El Sheikh in the years to come, so it's worth visiting now while the crowds are still manageable and the atmosphere isn't too noisy. Lots of water sports can be enjoyed here and snorkeling is great at this Egyptian beach as well.
Over in the Giftun Island National Park, Mahmya Island is undoubtedly one of Egypt's most visually striking beaches. It features exceptionally soft, golden sands and gorgeous, crystal clear waters, providing the idyllic conditions for a full range of activities. The island is only accessible by boat, so you'll have to pay a little extra to get here, but it's definitely worth the added cost, especially if you're interested in scuba diving or snorkeling. The local coral reefs are simply filled with exotic fish of all colors and forms. The island can actually get reasonably busy, with lots of tours and expeditions heading over here each day, but there's a lot of space on the sand and out in the sea for everyone to enjoy.
A very special beach due to its unique aesthetic, Agiba Beach is considered one of Egypt's genuine treasures by the locals but hasn't really developed too much of a reputation among tourists yet. So if you happen to be looking for a beach that's 'off the beaten path' in Egypt, this could be the ideal one for you. Located not far from Mersa Matruh on the Mediterranean coastline, Agiba Beach translates to 'Miracle Beach' in English and it's not hard to understand why. The unique geological formations and beauty of this area are unlike anything else in the country. Getting to the beach involves a descent down a steep, rocky path, so it's not one for people with mobility issues, but if you can make it down to the sand, you'll be rewarded with some astonishing views and a really cozy, romantic atmosphere.
