Wakasawada Beach is located around two hours by train from the city of Kyoto in the quaint little beach town of Takahama. It’s a beach that not too many western tourists have ever heard of, but it is starting to rise in awareness and popularity. Wakasawada Beach hugs a large bay and feature two protective arms that stretch into the Sea of Japan, providing a gently slope into the calm ocean waters. Visitors come to the beach for sunbathing, relaxation, frolicking in warm waters, and sea kayaking. Takahama is also a popular spot for cruising the clear waters and paddleboarding.
