Review:

Iritahama features great waves and sparkling blue waters and is a great place to stop and do some surfing or just relax while visiting the Shimoda area. The beach is a local favorite and is rather quiet during the area’s off-peak season, and while its gets fairly popular with both Shimoda regulars and visitors alike during the peak season, it generally never really feels too crowded. This makes Iritahama Beach an ideal spot for trying out surfing abilities without needing to worry about surfing collisions. The beach is around a 3.5 kilometer distance from the station
