Goodyear Ballpark is a $108 million baseball field and complex that was opened to the public in February of 2009. It is best known as the summer training site for both of Ohio’s major league baseball teams, the Cincinnati Reds and the Cleveland Indians. The ballpark was designed by Kansas City’s HOK Sport architectural firm and showcases two dedicated training fields, a main field with seating for more than 10,000, and seven additional fields available for use by the City of Goodyear for a variety of sporting purposes. The ballpark is part of the larger Goodyear Recreational Complex, which also hosts public special events throughout the year, including a Star Spangled 4th celebration, a Home Plate for the Holidays event, and an annual fall festival.
