You’ll find the largest cold-water fish hatchery in the state among the cool pines of the forest surroundings - producing over 700,000 trout a year.
There are many things to do on the 82-acre hatchery such as exploring the interpretive center, going on a self-guided hatchery tour, or visiting the show ponds.
The extensive grounds also allow for visitors to go hiking on the trails along Oak Creek, enjoy spotting wildlife and a large number of bird species, or go camping on the surrounding Forest Service lands and state parks.
