Review & FAQ:
One of Southern Nevada’s unique trail experiences, the Historic Railroad Hiking Trail is dog-friendly hiking trail along a former railroad grade with breathtaking panoramic views of the Lake Mead and Boulder Basin area. Designated as a national recreation trail, the 7.5-mile Historic Railroad Trail shares the rich history of the creation of Lake Mead and the construction of the Hoover Dam and winds through five massive tunnels, each approximately 300 feet in length and 25 feet in diameter, and along a portion of the original railroad route that was used between Boulder City and the Hoover Dam in the mid-1900s.
