Audra State Park spans 355 acres throughout West Virginia's Barbour County, preserving the remnants of the historic 19th-century community of Audra, including its former gristmill. The gorgeous wooded park is traversed by the Middle Fork River, which offers excellent opportunities for swimming and kayaking throughout the summer months. A 6.6-mile kayak run embarks from the park, traveling from the Middle Fork River to its confluence with the nearby Tygart Valley and Buckhannon Rivers. Visitors can hike throughout the park's lovely forested terrain or enjoy amazing photo opportunities at scenic Alum Cave. 67 campsites are available for overnight camping, along with accessible picnic areas and a scenic boardwalk.
