Located in the Monongahela National Forest, the Stuart Recreation Area is set along the banks of the Shavers Fork River in the Allegheny Mountains, in an area of great natural beauty. The recreation area is an excellent choice for families who would like to spend some time getting back to nature in a pristine wilderness area. You are welcome to use the facilities as a day visitor or you can bring your RV to the first-come/first served serviced campground which has showers and toilets including accessible facilities. Activities include good trout fishing in the river, river swimming, hiking, picnicking and birding.
