The Weirton Area Museum and Cultural Center showcases the history of Weirton, West Virginia, dating back to the days of the American Revolution when the area was called Holiday’s Cove up to the history of the city of Weirton and the Weirton Steel Company. Among the museum’s asset, one of the most significant is its photograph collection that highlights the steel mill and the local community, photographed by photographers with the Weirton Steel Company. A number of community events take place at the Weirton Area Museum and Cultural Center throughout the year as well, such as the “Festival of Nations.”
