K Space Contemporary is the home of contemporary art in Corpus Christi. The non-profit facility endeavors to develop, exhibit and promote contemporary art in Corpus Christi and beyond. The center is named for Kress Five & Dime Store which earlier occupied the historic building. The center not only provides exhibition space for emerging and established artists, it also attempts to bring contemporary art forms to the greater community by hosting art lectures, figure-drawing classes and other art lessons for all ages. K-Space is also instrumental in bringing art to the community through the Summer Mural Arts Program and the regular First Friday Art Walk.
