Timber Cove Resort is a gorgeous historic hotel along California's North Coast Highway, originally constructed as a retreat hotel in 1963 by famed architect Richard Clements, Jr.

The hotel, which takes design cues from Frank Lloyd Wright's iconic architectural style, incorporates redwood and stone elements to seamlessly integrate with its gorgeous natural surroundings. In 2016, the hotel was relocated atop a cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean and completely renovated. Today, it features 46 elegant midcentury-styled guest rooms, including eight newly-designed spacious suites.

All rooms offer flat screen televisions, iPod docking stations, and complimentary wireless internet, with select rooms providing balconies with ocean views. Guests can dine at the upscale Coast Kitchen or enjoy use of the resort's clever outdoor living room space, which features fire pits, billiards, and ping-pong tables.
