Lochaerie Resort offers private cabins on Lake Quinault within the Olympic National Park and it has been giving guests a memorable vacation during all seasons since 1926. When it started, Lochaerie was a hostelry with cabins and today it is just the cabins, each of which has a rustic atmosphere with a private bath, full kitchen and fireplace. There are a total of six cabins to choose from, some of which date back to the 1920s or 1930s, each with one to three bedrooms.
As the resort is right in the middle of a natural area, every cabin gives guests gorgeous views, some with direct access to the various on-site walking paths. Guests can go birdwatching, search for the largest trees recorded in Olympic National Park, fishing (with a permit), or borrow a kayak or canoe. Other activities include geocaching, hiking, mushrooming, sailing, wildlife watching, and visiting Onion Rock. Although there is no restaurant on site, the full kitchens in each cabin allow you to prepare any food items you bring with you.
