Housed inside of a more than a century-old barn, the Vint Hill Craft Winery building was formerly a literal “nest of spies.” Referred to as Monitoring Station #1, the site was the first of building that of the organization that would later become the NSA. Today, it’s a place for crafting high quality, small-batch wine. The only “urban winery” in the Washington, D.C. area where wine appreciation and winemaking are explored together, the Teaching and Tasting Bar of Vint Hill overlooks the winery’s production area and guests can sample several wines as they watch the entire winemaking process.
