Review:

Located a few miles west of downtown Charlottesville, The Ivy Inn Restaurant is an elegant family-owned restaurant based in an early 19th-century house that serves refined locavore American fare. Exuding an Old Virginia feel, the restaurant was once part of Southern aristocrat William Faulkner’s estate and features period décor, warm hues, and soft lighting, making it a perfect place for a romantic dinner. The menu features signature dishes such as Angus beef tenderloin, sautéed sea scallops, grilled farm-raised quail, and grilled Scottish salmon. The cuisine is accompanied by a range of fine wines, champagnes and sparkling wines, and handcrafted cocktails. The Ivy Inn Restaurant is open for dinner only, seven nights a week.
