Review:

The Falls Church is a historic Episcopal church the city of Falls Church, Virginia was named for. The parish was established in 1732. The original church was a wooden structure known as "William Gunnell's Church", designed and built by Colonel Richard Blackburn. By 1762, the wooden structure had fallen into decay and a new brick building was completed in 1769 on the same site. The new church was designed by James Wren. The church was extensively renovated in 1959. The renovation included adding galleries from Wren's original design that were never were installed, and a new chancel. The still standing and operating structure mostly reflects the original 1769 design and is one of the oldest church structures in the United States.
