Review:

Established in 1976 to preserve and share the history of Guatemala, Museo Nacional de Historia has exhibits on all the important events that have happened in the country since it gained independence in 1821. Although it was originally located in the National Library, the museum was later moved to the Registry of Deeds building, which survived the earthquakes of 1918 and 1919 and underwent restoration during the mid-1980s. The museum is happy to provide informational services and advice to students and researchers, and it regularly hosts conferences, concerts, film screenings, and other special events.
