Based within a traditional Mykonian house dating back to the 18th century with a charming courtyard garden in the Lakka neighborhood of the Old Town, Bakalo serves traditional Greek food using local ingredients and fresh produce from neighboring Cyclades islands.
The quaint, homey restaurant is family-owned and uses generational recipes to create dishes such as Cycladian cheese dumplings with lemon dressing, Mykonian spiced cheese with sweet peppers, marinated octopus from Syros, and handpicked mushrooms stuffed with gruyere cheese and pork from Naxos. A charming outdoor patio has a few tables set out beneath the branches of a large tree where diners can watch the world go by.
