Zunfthausrestaurant Pfistern (Restaurant Pfistern) is an elegant restaurant situated in one of the few remaining guild halls in Lucerne that was once used by the city’s bakers and millers. Founded in 1408 by artisans, bakers, and millers, the Pfister Guild was where the city’s high society to agree on flour and bread prices. Today, all that is left of the Guild is a beautiful fresco on the façade of the building of a tree bearing many coats of arms, which makes the building one of the town’s historical gems. The restaurant serves traditional, seasonal Swiss cuisine with international accents, and a selection of local craft beers, imported wines, and signature cocktails.
