Within the lively locale of Utrecht, the beating heart Holland, is the Museum Oud Amelisweerd. Fondly referred to as the MOA for shower, the museum is found within a lovingly renovated 18th-century castle on the historical Amelisweerd estate. The estate is very much a museum on it’s own as it dates back to the 13th century, was destroyed in 1672 by the French, then rebuilt in 1770. The museum is a window into 18th-century life with its main feature being the stunning wallpaper that adorns the mansion’s walls. Alongside the rare wall decoration, the museum displays a unique collection of modern art.
