Each year on Labor Day weekend, the town of Camden in Maine hosts their annual Windjammer Festival.

During this time, the whole town comes together to celebrate the rich cultural history of sailing and the maritime industry, particularly by sending all their sailboats out to sea at once in a glorious and fun display of tradition. The festival is one full of dancing, food eating contests, boat races, lobster crate races, and an exciting and diverse maritime heritage fair where visitors can buy crafts and local food.

There are also plenty of events for families such as scavenger hunts, picnics, movies under the stars, and much more.
