Glamping is quickly becoming many people’s preferred way to stay while on vacation. Combining the terms ‘camping’ and ‘glamor’ into one perfect package, glamping is a term that originated in the United Kingdom but has spread all over the world, with many different glamping sites and locations springing up in stunning surroundings. Unlike traditional camping, which can be a lot of fun but also has plenty of downsides including uncomfortable sleeping bags, a lack of services, and frustrating tent construction, glamping gives you the luxury and comfort you’d expect to find in an elegant hotel room while also providing the freedom and spirit of adventure that campers love.

Created by a group of five people who had loved Bear Lake for a long time and wanted to give people a new way to explore and enjoy the beauty of this area, Conestoga Ranch opened up in 2015 and has been a huge hit so far. Unlike other camping or glamping destinations, Conestoga Ranch is all about luxury and elegance. Gourmet cuisine is served at the local Campfire Grill Restaurant, the Blue Waters Spa offers a wide array of luxury massages and treatments, and the site's tents and wagons have been custom-designed to satisfy every visitor. Each tent and wagon has been designed to mimic the Old West style of the 1800s and every single one is totally unique, so you can keep coming back for something new and special each time.
The tents and wagons are worth looking at in closer detail as they're a real highlight of this Bear Lake glamping spot. Even the simplest option of Traditional Tents come fitted with comfortable, cozy beds, luxurious rugs and chairs, and the option of private bathrooms and electricity. Grand Family Tents and Grand Couples Tents offer a little extra space and comfort for families, couples, or groups of friends, including bunk beds, mini refrigerators, and en-suite bathrooms. The best tent of all is the Royal Tent, which is fitted out with beautiful decorations and furnishings, including an iron-framed king-size bed, a comfortable seating area, a mini refrigerator, outdoor seating area, fire pit, beautiful bathtub, and more.
Then there are the wagons. Based on classic designs and featuring decorations and furnishings from the 1800s, these wagons provide a truly authentic Old West experience that you simply won't be able to find anywhere else. Wagons come in 2, 4, or 6-person sizes and are served by private bathroom facilities in the main lodge, just nearby. Wagons can also be towed closer together for larger parties to stay beside each other. As well as all of this beautiful accommodation, this Bear Lake glamping site offers complimentary bikes, a general store, BBQ tents, Wi-Fi for all visitors, and many more useful amenities and services to make your stay as memorable as possible.
