Casablanca is the largest city in Morocco. It can be quite hot in this interesting city, but, fortunately, it lies close enough to the Atlantic Ocean so that it gets some relief from the Canary Current that brings cool breezes with it. There are events that take place in Casablanca all year long, but the two best, the Festival de Casablanca and the Feast of the Throne, occur in July. This is one of the hotter months of the year in Casablanca so it might be too warm for some visitors. The best time to visit Casablanca is between November and May.

Casablanca Weather in January: It’s beautiful, albeit cold, month for Casablanca in January. Vacationers can expect a low temperature average of 46°F (8°C) and a high temperature average of 63°F (17°C). Despite being the coldest month in Casablanca, this month, along with the rest of the winter months, is a fantastic time to hit the beaches.

February is the wettest month of the year with about 70 mm of rain making landfall. The average low temperature sees a 2-degree increase to 48°F (9°C). On the other hand, the average high temperature stays the same at 63°F (17°C).

In March, peak hiking season starts thanks to mild temperatures and decreased precipitation rates. Hikers will enjoy the pleasant high and low temperature averages which measure in at 66°F (19°C) and 50°F (10°C) respectively.

April brings light spring showers to Casablanca with a precipitation average of 40 mm. Meanwhile, the average low temperature sees a small increase to 52°F (11°C) alongside the average high temperature, which sees an equal rate of increase to 68°F (20°C).

Casablanca Weather in May: As the last month of the spring season, May sees a significant increase in the low temperature averages which rises to 57°F (14°C). The high temperature average rises to 70°F (21°C).

June is the driest month of Casablanca’s year with just 10 mm of rainfall. Temperature measurements come in at 63°F (17°C) for the average low temperature and 73°F (23°C) for the average high temperature.

In July, the summer weather brings an average high temperature of 79°F (26°C). Those who want to hike with warmer weather travel to Casablanca during this time of the year as the Atlas Range is gorgeous at this time of year. The average low temperature is at a cool 66°F (19°C).

August is the pinnacle of Casablanca’s summer. The average high and average low temperatures are at their warmest for the entire year at 79°F (26°C) and 68°F (20°C) respectively. Similarly, August brings in the highest daily average of sunshine for the year with 10 hours to be expected as well as the most ideal sea temperatures at 73°F (23°C).

In September, while the average high temperature remains the same at 79°F (26°C), the average low temperature sees a small 2-degree decrease to 66°F (19°C).

Casablanca Weather in October: With the arrival of spring in October, the average high temperature sees a relatively large dip of 6 degrees to 73°F (23°C). The average low temperature also sees a steep decline to 59°F (15°C). Meanwhile, the precipitation average is at 30 mm.

November sees the downward trend in temperatures continue with the high temperature average decreasing by another 3 degrees to 70°F (21°C). At the same time, the low temperature average decreases by 5 degrees to 54°F (23°C).

In December, the average rainfall increases to a moderately high amount of 50 mm. The low temperature average and the high temperature average measure in at 50°F (10°C) and 64°F (18°C) respectively for the first month of Casablanca’s winter.

There’s a lot to see and do when visiting the breathtaking country of Morocco and its largest city, Casablanca. If hiking through the Atlas ranges is your main reason or coming to the country, the best time to visit is between March and November. The beaches, on the other hand, are at their best during the winter months of December, January and February. Come during the Ramadan season to experience incredible cultural activities and festivals while mid-January to mid-February is ideal for visitors who want to spend their vacation skiing.
