This Gothic revival-style historic hotel was built in 1924 on Alamo Plaza. The thirteen-story tower of The Emily Morgan San Antonio - a Double Tree was originally a Medical Arts Building, and guests can still see the gargoyles representing medical ailments that surround the building. Sixty years later it was converted into an upscale hotel and in 2012 received a multimillion-dollar renovation. Now among Historic Hotels of America, it offers seven styles of luxury guestrooms and suites. Hotel amenities include award-winning Oro Restaurant & Bar, a 24-hour fitness center, outdoor pool, and easy access to local highlights like the adjacent Alamo, San Antonio River Walk, Majestic Theatre, and San Fernando Cathedral.
