Meso Maya is a delightful McKinney Avenue restaurant housed within the historic 1938 Luna Tortilla Factory, completely renovated in 2012 as a concept restaurant led by executive chef Nico Sanchez. The restaurant, which strives to bring traditional Mexican food and culture north of the border, crafts all of its excellent entrees and sauces entirely from scratch, highlighting unique cuisine options from regions like Vera Cruz, Chiapas, and the Yucatán.

Lunch and dinner are served daily throughout the week, showcasing delicious entree options like serrano chile enchiladas, adobo brisket tacos prepared with housemade soft white corn tortillas, and unique dishes like budin azteca, which layers tortillas with three kinds of melted cheese and diners' choice of protein. House specialties include favorites like pollo con mole prepared with house-ground cocoa bean mole.
