Review:

Monahans Sandhills State Park is a 3,840-acre park that stretches 70 miles long and 20 miles wide between Crane County, Texas, and Andrews County, Texas. The park is composed mostly of sand dunes up to 70 feet high consisting of almost pure quartz.

The wind constantly sculpts the dunes into ever-changing peaks and valleys. The park is a popular spot for exploring the semi-arid environment with the plants and animals that are adapted to it.

It is also great place for sandboarding and just plain sliding downhill like in a large sandbox.

The Dunagan Vis¬i¬tors Center is great place to learn about the natural and cultural history of the park.
