1. Frobergs Farm
Frobergs Farm near Alvin, Texas offers a range of homegrown fruits and vegetables such as blackberries, kale and green beans, but also many other fresh fruits and vegetables from other areas in order to be able to offer their customers with a wide range of produce. Besides fresh veggies and fruits, their country store offers baked goods made on site, sweet treats, pies, cookies, preserves, pecan brittle nuts, candies, ice cream, nachos, chili dogs and other snacks. During the season, visitors can pick their own strawberries, citrus, flowers and various vegetables. The farm has a festival for every season, with lot of activities for the whole family. There are hayrides, fire pits, marshmallow roasts, cookie decorating and more.

2. Alvin Museum
Located in a historic former U.S. Post Office building in downtown Alvin, Texas, Alvin Historical Museum was established to record the history of Alvin. It has 21 permanent exhibits that showcase the development of Alvin from a small 1879 Santa Fe railroad loading site, until it became today’s diverse Gulf Coast community. The exhibits include Prehistoric, Indian, Railroad, Ranching, the Formation of Texas and Alvin, Farming, War and more. The museum is managed by the Alvin Museum Society, which has a goal to preserve and interpret the history of Alvin and surrounding area. Besides the Historical Museum, which showcases the collected artifacts and documents about Alvin’s history, the Society also maintains a beautifully restored 1910 Victorian style house which reflects the lifestyle of the area in the early 20th century.

3. Malt-N-Burger
Malt-N-Burger is an unpretentious small counter serve burger joint in Alvin, Texas, right off Hwy 6. Family-owned and run, the place has been around for a long time and has a nostalgic feel. Many people remember it from their childhood when parents brought them for the delicious malts. The menu is small and it has their signature jumbo burgers, fried chicken, foot-long dogs and all sorts of sandwiches. Malts, shakes and Sundays come in all flavors. Most people call in advance and pick up their order to take out.
