Review:

The Dyer Observatory is owned and managed by Vanderbilt University and is tucked away atop one of the Nashville area’s tallest peaks. Both students attending the university and the general public are welcome to visit the observatory to discover the wonders of space exploration and astronomy. Named after Arthur Dyer, the Dyer Observatory was constructed in 1953 with a dome that measures 24 feet wide and houses a reflecting telescope named after the astronomer Carl Seyfert. The observatory today is primarily used as a tool for teaching and to get children interested in the fields of engineering and science.
