Palisades Tahoe gives you the chance to bring the kids to the site of the 1960 Winter Olympics and let them ski on the only beginners’ mountaintop area.

Located in North Lake Tahoe, Palisades Tahoe is the largest ski area in the country, with 270 trails, 42 lifts, and a ski school Teaching Tykes where kids and parents learn to conquer the mountain together.

If you need even more bonding time, there is ice skating, mini snowmobiles, a craft studio and snow tubing.

The village is right on the slopes and not only has perfect accommodation for families with a full kitchen, balcony, fireplace, and eight outdoor hot tubs, but also allows kids to ski for free. Palisades Tahoe Map
