Newport National Golf Club is unusual in that it occupies what once was a 200-acre nursery. Today the club is a very popular public 18-hole golf course which was designed by Arthur Hills. Unlike many traditional golf courses, you will not find tree-lined fairways at Newport National; instead, this links-style course offers generous undulating fairways, strategically placed bunkers and water traps and beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean. Many believe that the club is reminiscent of some of Ireland and Scotland’s best courses. There is an on-site Pro Shop where you can buy everything you need for your round.
