The Roger Williams National Memorial is a 4.5-acre landscaped urban park that stands at the base of the National Historic Landmark District of College Hill, one of the city's oldest and most historically significant areas. Situated near the eastern bank of the Moshassuck River separated from the river by Canal Street, the park commemorates the life of Roger Williams, co-founder of the Colony of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations.
