The stately mansion once known as the Archibald McAllister House was built in 1814, and with its stunning location on the Susquehanna River, surrounded by trees and green gardens and away from the hustle of Harrisburg, Fort Hunter Mansion and Park makes for an incredible venue to celebrate a wedding. Due to its historic nature, weddings are not held in the house itself, but in one of the other buildings that make up the park or outdoors. Couples can choose to tie the knot in the Heckton Church, or outside on the West Lawn, with a celebration to follow either outdoors or in the Centennial Barn.
