The main line of the Montour Trail travels from Coraopolis to Clairton, with branch trails extending to Pittsburgh International Airport, Westland, and Bethel Park. Measuring approximately 46 miles in length, the multi-purpose Montour Trail connects to the Great Allegheny Passage, which extends more than 330 miles from the city of Pittsburgh to Washington, DC, with a portion of the trail passing through the town of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania. The idea of the trail came about in the 1980’s by a group of runners, environmentalists, railroad enthusiasts, and bicyclists who wanted to transform the Montour Rail Line into a place for outdoor enthusiasts.

The Bethel Bakery has been a part of the Bethel Park community in Pennsylvania since 1955, serving generations of customers who are drawn to the baker for their signature pastries, one-of-a-kind cakes, coffeecakes, and cookies. Morrish Walsh, along with a business partner, turned a dream of owning a bakery into a reality through characteristic determination and with a small inheritance and years of bakery experience. The next generation of the Walsh family now manages the Bethel Bakery and the already large variety of baked goods has been expanded, but the legacy of Morris and his wife Anna continues today.
