Gold Hill is a city in Jackson County, Oregon, along the Rogue River, in the scenic Rogue Valley. The valley has exceptionally good conditions for growing wine grapes and the area around Gold Hill has a number of reputable vineyards and wineries. Some of the best are Del Rio Vineyards and Winery, Kriselle Cellars and Cliff Creek Cellars. Gold Hill is home to a roadside attraction called the Oregon Vortex. Just north of Gold Hill is Nugget Falls, a popular whitewater kayaking destination. Valley of the Rogue State Park on the banks of the Rogue River is a popular destination for camping, kayaking, swimming and fishing.
