Review:

Bagby Hot Springs is located deep in the Mount Hood National Forest, about an hour-and-a-half drive from Portland, Oregon. Besides offering a pleasant bath in naturally warm water, the views of the Cascade Mountains from Bagby Hot Springs are breathtaking. These natural hot springs are surrounded by towering ancient firs next to a secluded tributary of the Clackamas River, about forty miles from Estacada, Oregon. The springs are easily accessible by a well-maintained trail and offer a unique experience. The facilities are fairly primitive and the bathers enjoy a dip in the hand-hewn tubs and cedar plumbing. The springs are named after Bob Bagby, a hunter and prospector who found them in 1880, although the springs were used by the native peoples for a long time.
