The King Arts Complex is home to the Elijah Pierce Gallery. This art gallery showcases a broad range of contemporary and historical exhibits that include decorative arts, photography, graphics, sculpture, and painting. This gallery is named after Elijah Pierce, the foremost wood carver in America of twentieth-century folk art and a resident of the late Near East Side of Columbus. The gallery offers school tours, hands-on workshops and gallery talks about various art education topics, guided tours, and exhibitions of international, national, and local artists.
