XYZ the Tavern is a friendly pub in the Detroit-Shoreway neighborhood that serves American from-scratch comfort food and a range of craft beers, whiskeys, and easy-drinking wines. Located in the Gordon Square Arts District next to the Cleveland Public Theater and across from the Capitol Theater on Detroit Avenue, XYZ The Tavern is open for brunch, lunch, and dinner, seven days a week, and offers weekly specials and happy hours. The brunch menu features traditional fare such as corned beef hash, smoked salmon croissants, eggs Benedict, BLTs with a fried egg, chipotle aioli, bacon, lettuce and tomato, pancakes, and French toast. Other treats to start the day or cure a hangover range from XYZ breakfast wraps and veggie omelets to country fried chicken and waffles and cheese blintzes.
