The Hanford Mills Museum gives visitors a chance to experience a wide array of facilities and get a glimpse of the unique history that went into running the entire mill. The mill organizes a large number of workshops and various programs that give visitors a more in-depth look into how the mill used to run. The programs conducted here aim to give visitors a better understanding of all the finer aspects of the mill as well as the different methods that were used while it was in operation.
The Hanford Mills Museum offers patrons guided tours of the entire property with a range of tours that are complete with in-depth information on the different aspects of the premises as well as demonstrations of the various machines and processes within the factory.
Visitors are also encouraged to come and enjoy a picnic lunch in the scenic locations surrounding the mill. If visitors prefer a slower, more relaxed tour of the entire place, they have the option to move about the property as they please and at their own pace because, at the end of the day, the Hanford Mills Museum wants you to have a safe and enjoyable time.
Seeing something work and function just as it did many years ago is a brilliant way to witness what used to happen at the mill. The museum is also a great teaching tool for kids of all ages, and adults too, who can come and see how things were made in the past and to gain some more insight into the history of the stuff that makes up our world.
While at the Hanford Mills Museum, be sure to check out the Rural Genius exhibit here, as it is one of the most visited attractions on the site. The Rural Genius exhibit tells the story of three entrepreneurs who changed the course of their company through innovation and good business. Through their ideas, these three entrepreneurs were able to build a business from the ground up, making it into the great historical site it is today, namely the Hanford Mills Museum, and the three entrepreneurs were the founders of the mill. This exhibit is a beautiful way to give you a deeper understanding of the intricacies of the factory.
