Review & Frequenly Asked Questions:
The beautiful and solemn Garden of Remembrance was thoughtfully designed with several symbolic displays paying tribute to the millions of lives affected by the Holocaust. The main display in the garden would be the “Gates of Remembrance,” a large sculpture created by Rita Rapaport. The sculpture features gates, symbolizing the entrance of concentration camps, held up by bend posts reminiscent of flames and chimneys in the crematoria. Hung on the gates are other commemorative features like a prisoner’s number, barbed wire, and the broken Ten Commandments. Visitors are welcome to roam the park, quietly enjoy some nature, join community events, and most importantly, honor the Holocaust victims, families, and heroes.
