Roosevelt Beach, Eel Creek and Cold Spring Harbor are located in the Sagamore Hill National Historic Site where Theodore Roosevelt’s historic home is located. This very beautiful protected beach is a joy to behold for nature lovers, but it is only suitable for passive recreation, which means that you are not permitted to enjoy regular beach activities like swimming, paddling, sunbathing, picnicking, etc. Visitors are reminded to stick to the designated paths and boardwalks and not to disturb any form of flora and fauna. Sadly, this means that Roosevelt Beach is not the best place for a family day out.
